Tragedy in Perth: Five-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Struck by Car

A five-year-old boy has met a tragic end in a vehicle collision in Cloverdale, Perth, on Tuesday evening. The shocking incident occurred on Belgravia Street, near Miles Park. A Toyota LandCruiser struck the child and an accompanying woman as they were walking. However, the driver’s statement and police findings point to a significant question.
Fatal crash near park
The incident occurred at approximately 4:25 pm on Tuesday. The injured five-year-old was rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital, but tragically, he could not be saved. The 48-year-old woman accompanying the child sustained serious injuries. She was transferred to Royal Perth Hospital, where reports indicate she is now in a stable condition.
Major Crash Investigation Section launches inquiry
The driver of the Toyota LandCruiser involved in the crash remained at the scene and was uninjured. WA Police Major Crash officers have commenced a detailed investigation into the incident. Police are investigating whether excessive speed or driver negligence contributed to the crash and are currently gathering CCTV footage and witness statements.
