The 17-year-old, who sustained a serious stab wound to the abdomen, was admitted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Police are currently questioning a 16-year-old student in connection with the incident.

The First Incident in Cairns

A similar incident occurred on Monday at Trinity Bay State High School in Cairns. There, a 15-year-old student was attacked. The teenager, who was stabbed in the abdomen, was admitted to Cairns Hospital. Another 15-year-old, who fled the scene, was arrested by police in the Kanimbla area. The youth was refused bail and appeared before the Childrens Court. These consecutive incidents have sparked severe concern among parents.
