ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിൽ പുതിയ തൊഴിൽ നിയമങ്ങൾ വരുന്നു
ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലെ തൊഴിൽ സേവനങ്ങളിൽ (Australian Employment Services Reform 2026) വൻ അഴിച്ചുപണിക്ക് ഒരുങ്ങി ഫെഡറൽ സർക്കാർ. നിലവിലെ ‘വൺ-സൈസ്-ഫിറ്റ്സ്-ഓൾ’ രീതി അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച്, ഓരോ വ്യക്തിക്കും അനുയോജ്യമായ രീതിയിൽ തൊഴിൽ സഹായം നൽകാനാണ് ആൽബനീസീ സർക്കാരിന്റെ തീരുമാനം. ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി രാജ്യത്തുടനീളം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഫോറങ്ങളിൽ 400-ലധികം ആളുകൾ പങ്കെടുത്തു. പുതിയ പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾ സാധാരണക്കാരുടെ തൊഴിൽ സാധ്യതകളെ എങ്ങനെ സ്വാധീനിക്കുമെന്ന് അറിയാം.

ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലുടനീളമുള്ള തൊഴിലന്വേഷകർ, തൊഴിലുടമകൾ, കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഓർഗനൈസേഷനുകൾ എന്നിവരെ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയാണ് സർക്കാർ ചർച്ചകൾ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. മെൽബൺ, ബ്രിസ്ബേൻ, ഡാർവിൻ, പെർത്ത്, അഡ്ലെയ്ഡ് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി നഗരങ്ങളിൽ ഈ ചർച്ചകൾ നടന്നു.
ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയുടെയും കഴിവും താല്പര്യവും പരിഗണിച്ച് അവർക്ക് അനുയോജ്യമായ ജോലികൾ കണ്ടെത്താൻ സഹായിക്കുന്ന പുതിയ സംവിധാനമാണ് ഏവരും ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്.
2026 ബജറ്റിലെ പ്രഖ്യാപനങ്ങളും മാറ്റങ്ങളും
2026 ലെ ഫെഡറൽ ബജറ്റിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ഈ പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾക്കായി 312.1 ദശലക്ഷം ഡോളർ വകയിരുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഡിജിറ്റൽ സേവനങ്ങൾ, കൂടുതൽ പരിശീലനം ആവശ്യമുള്ളവർക്കുള്ള പിന്തുണ, ദീർഘകാലമായി ജോലി ഇല്ലാത്തവർക്കുള്ള പ്രത്യേക പരിഗണന എന്നിങ്ങനെ മൂന്ന് തലങ്ങളിലായാണ് പുതിയ സംവിധാനം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക.
കൂടുതൽ ആളുകൾക്ക് ജോലിയുടെ സുരക്ഷിതത്വവും അന്തസ്സും ഉറപ്പാക്കുക എന്നതാണ് സർക്കാരിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് തൊഴിൽ മന്ത്രി അമാൻഡ റിഷ്വർത്ത് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
ജൂലൈ 31 വരെ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രതികരിക്കാം
പുതിയ തൊഴിൽ നയങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സർക്കാരിന്റെ ‘Shaping the future of employment services Discussion Paper’ ഇതിനകം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ വിഷയത്തിൽ പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് തങ്ങളുടെ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ രേഖപ്പെടുത്താൻ 2026 ജൂലൈ 31 വരെ അവസരമുണ്ട്.
നിലവിലെ സംവിധാനം ഓസ്ട്രേലിയക്കാർ അർഹിക്കുന്ന ഫലം നൽകുന്നില്ലെന്നും, അതിൽ മാറ്റം വരുത്താനാണ് സർക്കാർ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നതെന്നും അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് മന്ത്രി പാട്രിക് ഗോർമാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ പുതിയ പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹത്തിനും, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ജോലി അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന മലയാളി പ്രവാസികൾക്കും ഏറെ ഗുണം ചെയ്തേക്കാം.

I am an overseas-qualified nurse with extensive experience in multiple specialties, including emergency, intensive care, paediatrics, medical-surgical nursing, aged care, and disability support. I also hold permanent residency in Australia. Despite my qualifications and experience, I have been unable to become a Registered Nurse or secure an RN position in Australia.
I believe Australia could consider a pathway similar to the United Kingdom. In the UK, many overseas-qualified nurses are employed as carers or healthcare assistants in hospitals or care homes while they prepare for the OSCE. After gaining local experience and successfully completing the OSCE, they can register as Registered Nurses.
Introducing a similar pathway in Australia would help address the nursing workforce shortage while giving experienced overseas-qualified nurses a fair opportunity to contribute to the Australian healthcare system. Many of us already have years of nursing experience and are eager to work, but the current registration pathway is difficult to access.
I respectfully request the Australian Government to consider creating a practical and supportive registration pathway for overseas-qualified nurses, allowing them to gain supervised clinical experience while working towards Australian registration.
